Kapan Museum of Regional Studies
The Kapan Geological Museum was opened in 1969 to preserve, display and study the archaeological and geological objects of Kapan. The museum actively participates in scientific life, carrying out scientific research works, and organizes events.
On the first floor, the history of Syunk in the 19th and 20th centuries, the Armenian-Tatar conflicts, the first civil war, the Zangezur war for existence, personal letters and things are displayed. On the second floor, abojovi is archeology.
The most interesting museum specimen is the shell vessel in the form of a woman, which is an exceptional find not only in Syunik but throughout Armenia.
They organize excursions, games and activities for different age groups and tourists.
